Dear Mr. Lemay, I am writing to urge your company to cooperate with an independent investigation by the Fair Labor Association (FLA) of alleged violations of freedom of association at your company's El Progreso factory in Honduras. In order to demonstrate your company's willingness to seriously address these allegations in a timely manner, Gildan should agree to cooperate with such an investigation at the earliest possible date. I also urge your company to offer to reinstate the 39 workers fired in October and November 2003, plus the approximately 70 workers fired in November 2002 and March, April and July 2003. I look forward to receiving a prompt reply to my letter, declaring your company's willingness to cooperate with such an investigation at the earliest possible date and to reinstate the unjustly fired workers.
